I was given an ARC in return for an honest review.
I always get a little nervous when I get asked to review an author I don’t know, but the great thing is, I go in without any preconceived notions about what I’m going to be reading.
The action in this book starts right from the very beginning when we see someone being tortured for information, that perked my interest up. Then we cut to the heroine in our book, she’s who the tortured fella was protecting. And she needs to get herself out-of-town and find his brother, fast.
Turns out his brother, Razor, is a tattoo artist, who just wants to do his job, and certainly doesn’t want to be saddled with a brainiac who’s brought trouble to his doorstep. But he relents, thanks to his brother, and the two of them get along like oil and water. But her troubles are worse than she thought. Can he keep her safe? Or will they need more help?
This isn’t your typical romance, where they fall in love at first sight and he vows his undying love and protection, which makes this book all the more better. I very much enjoyed this author, and will definitely be reading more.
