Reagan Walsh walked away from everything she knew to start over in Montana after her life was torn apart. Her scars from the brutal attack go beyond skin deep, leaving behind a profound feeling of betrayal by those who should have protected her. But when the sexy doctor she’s secretly crushing on asks her to dinner, she hopes things may finally be falling into place.
Dr. Rafe Newell, a renowned plastic surgeon, has learned through experience that beauty is only skin deep. However, Reagan piques his interest the moment he first sees her. When she takes a position at the Mountain Mastery Club, it’s just the push he needs to explore whether his sexual dominance can bring out her submission.
Can Reagan trust Rafe to heal her insecurities and move her beyond past betrayals? Will Rafe and his friends be able to keep Reagan safe when trouble from her old life finds her again? And should she trust him to shelter her from the storm brewing around her?
DOMS…SASSY SUBS…AND LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY!
This book is intended for Mature Audiences. If you don’t enjoy steamy sex scenes, this isn’t the book for you. (MFM)
Sheltering Sophie is the third book in Avery Gale’s Mountain Mastery series and introduces us to hot dom Dr Rafe Newell and down on her luck subbie Reagan Walsh. Our oh so steamy Native American doms and club owners Taz and Nate Leduc are back as well as the Morgan brothers and of course all of their lovely, and bratty, ladies. We also have the Senator Karl, Tally, and a new third for them, Koi, who is Kodi’s brother.
Reagan works part time at the small regional air carrier that Rafe comes through on his trips back and forth as a pilot. He is also a plastic surgeon of renown and as she comes to find out, a master at Mountain Masters, the BDSM club she waitresses part time at.
Rafe wants her as well, and Reagan ends up going to dinner with him one night after work. When he sees the conditions she’s living in, he makes her pack a bag. Rafe wants to introduce her to BDSM, but between a past attack, a present champagne incident, and his job, it becomes difficult for him to connect with his “Peach” She does get Phoenix Morgan as a quasi-roommate however. She also has to deal with an old nemesis, and a spa day the likes of which I have never laughed so hard at…ever.
The ending sets us up for what I believe may be Karl, Tally and Koi’s book with a big surprise. As usual though, it was a wonderful book with lots of characters from previous series making their appearances.
